Avail Group was the chosen Oracle implementer for the largest life sciences heart valve manufacturer. The project resulted in successfully rolling out the FDA validated ERP manufacturing and distribution system to five international plant locations in less than two years (one year ahead of schedule). The client saved literally millions of dollars on implementation fees relative to the original estimate that was initially generated by a “Big Four” consulting firm. The Symetra GLAD (General Ledger Advanced Development) project initially had several false starts with the software vendor. After which, the Avail Group was able to bring in the appropriate project leadership and resources that resulted in the successful completion of the project, ahead of schedule and under-budget.

The Avail Group was able to provide strategic project leadership and resources that ensured that approximately 25 interfaces were designed, developed and delivered flawlessly. We also provided business process design, application configuration, reporting development and rationalization, data conversion development, training, and go-live cut-over coordination skills and resources.
The project successfully went live as scheduled and the company has effectively closed each month and their first quarter on time. Symetra is now enjoying the benefits of an integrated chart with strategic, analytic reports for their financials which allows them to be completely compliant within the Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for their public filing process.
